We are proud to announce that EVE 2050: The Installation has won a Numix Award in the Digital Art category! The jury praised Van Grimde Corps Secrets for “a production that amplifies the strength and movement of a performing art,” and for the “engaging nature of the piece, which integrates the viewer into its expressive core.” We are delighted that the Installation was received as enthusiastically by the jury as it was by the public.
We would like to thank the Numix Awards and the Conseil des Arts de Montréal for this honour, and applaud the entire EVE 2050 team! Congratulations to our designers, Jerôme Delapierre, Fred Filteau, Thom Gossage and Isabelle Van Grimde, and also to the fabulous performers, Sophie Breton, Chi Long, Félix Cossette, Gabrielle Roy, Marine Rixhon and Justin De Luna. We would also like to thank the production team led by Emilie Voyer, as well as the researchers who shared their work and precious time with us to help create EVE 2050. Finally, many thanks to our faithful partners: Agora de la danse, the National Arts Centre Creation Fund, Brian Webb Dance Company, the Plan Culturel Numérique du Québec, and the New Chapter Program of the Canada Council for the Arts.
What a great way to end the season and move forward with the Installation, which will soon be performed in Germany, at the prestigious Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (ZKM) as part of the TANZ Karlsruhe Festival, and at the Muffatwerk in Munich.
