  • Live music with the Malvina Jazz Trio: Thom Gossage on drums, John Geary on guitar and Joel Kerr on bass

  • Guided tours of the exhibition Primal Body/ Future Body with Sylvain Dodier
  • Guided tours of the exhibition Malvina in the Old Days
  • Square dancing with musicians Bill Gossage, Mike Bleho and Glenn Roy, and caller Robert Goulet in the late afternoon

 

Saturday, August 17, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

  • 1:00 PM: Presentation of two new works created on the Malvina site as part of the Essential Connections: The Body and the Environment project: a sound installation by artist Scott Smallwood, inspired by the sounds of Malvina, and a work by visual artist Sean Caulfield, inspired by the site’s flora and fauna.
  • 2:00 PM: Printmaking workshop for all ages on the theme of the human body, with artist Sean Caulfield, whose work has been exhibited worldwide (registration required).
  • 3:00 PM: Guided tours of the exhibitions Primal Body/Future Body with Sylvain Dodier and Malvina in the Old Days with Geneviève Crête.

 

Saturday, August 24, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

  • 1:30 PM: Guided tour of the exhibition Primal Body/Future Body with cultural mediator Sylvain Dodier
  • 2:30 PM: Unveiling of a new choreography by Isabelle Van Grimde with performer Emmanuelle Martin and musician Thom Gossage, followed by a meeting with the creator after the performance.
  • 3:15 PM: Guided tour of the exhibition Malvina in the Old Days with Geneviève Crête

 

Saturday, September 28, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM – Experience the Culture Days in Malvina

  • 1:00 PM: Discover the new artworks created on-site by Sean Caulfield and Scott Smallwood as part of the Essential Connections: The Body and the Environment project
  • 1:30 PM: Conference on insect biodiversity with biologist Matthew Barbour, followed by a workshop on the biodiversity of the Malvina river with interdisciplinary artist Ana Rewakowicz
  • 3:15 PM: Guided tours of the exhibition Primal Body/Future Body with Sylvain Dodier, and Malvina in the Old Days with Geneviève Crête
