On Saturday, July 13, 2025, Malvina CPC (Creation and Presentation Center) will host an engaging and accessible talk on biodiversity in the garden. Led by Dr. Mirella Aoun and Jennifer Downing, researchers from Bishop’s University Faculty of Environment, Agriculture and Geography, this free public event will explore practical strategies to support pollinators, healthy soil life, and plant diversity in home gardens.
Participants will learn about the essential relationships between plants, insects, and microorganisms, and how these interactions contribute to resilient, living ecosystems. The session will include hands-on advice to help individuals design and maintain environmentally friendly gardens that support local biodiversity.
Following the talk, the presenters will offer a berry propagation workshop, open to all skill levels.
