We are pleased to present our upcoming creation, Eve 2050 as part of the Mardi Culturel TD, at the Arsenal on Tuesday October 17th at 6pm.
During this evening, you will discover the six dance projects in the Montreal area supported by the Canada Council for the Arts through the New Chapter program: Dana Gingras, Danse Danse, MAYDAY, Montréal Danse, Rhodnie Désir and Van Grimde Corps Secrets.
This event, organized by Danse Danse and hosted by Fabienne Cabado will be attended by Ms. Caroline Lussier, Director of the Exploration & Creation division of the Canada Council for the Arts.
We will present a video clip of Eve 2050’s triptych creation, with a focus on the interactive installation component.
Eve 2050 invites audiences to engage in an artistic, aesthetic and ethical reflection on the future of human beings and the body in an age of digital technology, biomedical advances and artificial intelligence. Combining dance and digital arts, the work changes form to be presented in theatres, public spaces and online. It is a fascinating integration of life and technology.
1 work, 3 components, 3 different types of relationships with the public:
-An interactive web series invites an individual rapport via a smart device.
-An interactive installation with choreographic performances allows dancers and the audience to share an enchanted space through dance and technology, and to shape the environment with their movements and gestures.
-A stage production creates an interactive space controlled by the artists, allowing for a more collective audience experience.
