Since 2017, VAN GRIMDE CORPS SECRETS has opened its creation site to the professional dance community with its Digital Dance Lab, a space for experimentation focusing on the interactions between dance and digital technologies. With training sessions and conferences, the DDL allows artists to discover the creative possibilities and constraints of these technologies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The company is now going even further, launching a residency program that will give artists the opportunity to explore the interactions between the body and digital technology, as they relate to their particular projects. Participating artists-in-residence will be able to choose the technological devices with which they would like to experiment to achieve their goals. The objective: to offer a space for research and creative freedom, together with the necessary equipment and guidance if required.<\/p>\n Two 2-week residencies will be offered between February and December, 2021.<\/b><\/p>\n Each residency includes:<\/p>\n \u2013 Exclusive access to Espace Corps Secrets for 2 weeks<\/p>\n \u2013 Access to equipment<\/p>\n \u2013 Hours of technological guidance\/support from experts from artists from the company (if desired)<\/p>\n Each artist or organization is responsible for the remuneration of its artistic team.<\/p>\n In your application file, please include the following:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n \u2013 A project description (approximately 500 words)<\/p>\n \u2013 A list of confirmed or anticipated collaborators<\/p>\n \u2013 A short biography (100 words maximum) of the project initiator and principal collaborators<\/p>\n \u2013 A description of what you would like to explore with digital technologies: What has sparked your interest in working with them? What results\/interactions do you hope to see? Any information that would help us to devise a technological strategy meeting your needs is welcome.
