Since then, his work has led to major public installations presented internationally. His sculptural practice is fundamentally about bringing bodies back into public space: at Malvina, he continues this exploration through the <em>Symbioses of Intelligences<\/em> project, and is also the creator of the<i> Malvina Horse<\/i>, a life-size sculpture unveiled this summer as part of the heritage trail <a href=\"https:\/\/vangrimdecorpssecrets.com\/en\/ccd-malvina\/malvina-autrefois\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Malvina in the Old Days<\/em><\/a>. A leading scholar of Gaston Miron, whose first biography he wrote, he spent most of his career in the D\u00e9partement d&#8217;\u00e9tudes fran\u00e7aises at Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, where he is now professor emeritus. His work is marked by a lasting fascination with place and our relationship to territory \u2014 a sensibility that resonates naturally with the landscape of Malvina. Winner of the <strong>Prix Athanase-David for his body of work and a member of the Order of Canada<\/strong>, he has also played a key role in bringing Gaston Miron&#8217;s scattered writings to wider readers, notably through his co-edition with Marie-Andr\u00e9e Beaudet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"><strong>Maxime Catellier<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4046 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/vangrimdecorpssecrets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/maxime-catellier-1394049.jpg\" alt=\"Portrait of Maxime Catellier, poet featured at La Grande Nuit de la po\u00e9sie, visiting ccdMalvina\" width=\"150\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vangrimdecorpssecrets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/maxime-catellier-1394049.jpg 283w, https:\/\/vangrimdecorpssecrets.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/maxime-catellier-1394049-254x300.jpg 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Born in Rimouski, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, Maxime Catellier is a novelist, essayist, and poet. He teaches literature at Coll\u00e8ge de Valleyfield and now lives in Saint-Anicet, in the Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie region. His body of work \u2014 poetry collections, essays, novels \u2014 is marked by a distinctly modern language rooted in a surrealist lineage, and by a deliberate blurring of genres: verse pamphlet, surrealist novel, essay-fiction, photographic poem. The author of two poetry collections, she blends rawness and tenderness in language devoted to the strength of women and to a deep appreciation of Quebec&#8217;s territory.
