Intensive workshop for all ages, from 10 to 100 : when dance and digital intersect
Whether you are a spectator, a dance-lover, an artist from another discipline or simply curious, this workshop is an unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Van Grimde Corps Secrets. It will give participants the chance to :
-Learn some of the company’s gestural vocabulary.
-Use these gestures in the context of structured improvisations.
-Explore and experience the interactive technologies used by the company in its most recent productions.
The workshop will be led by choreographer Isabelle Van Grimde in collaboration with performer Sophie Breton, composer-performer Thom Gossage and digital artist Jérôme Delapierre.
The Montreal dance company Van Grimde Corps Secrets relies on an interdisciplinary approach to the dancing body. A dialogue with sciences, technologies and different art forms shape the artistic proposals of Isabelle Van Grimde, which give rise to stage works, exhibitions, installations and performances, publications and interactive Internet works that rethink and reconfigure dance.
